Solar Panels were installed on campus to make the school more energy efficient

Over the summer, Mira Costa installed solar panels in the student parking lot as part of a larger project carried out by MBUSD. The project is supposed to cut down on the district’s energy spendings and save millions of dollars while also being eco-friendly. Funding was provided through a combination of district loans and state funding under Proposition 39.
