Mira Costa High School has been apart of The Manhattan Beach Unified School District for 66 years. Throughout those 6 decades, Redondo Union High School in Redondo Beach, California has served as the school’s competitive rival from sporting events, to battling who tops who in national academic statistics. With the departure of Aviation High School (Redondo Beach, California) in 1982, the tables had turned and the rivalry between MCHS and RUHS created an even bigger spark as the previous Aviation students had to decide wether they would become a Mustang or a Seahawk.
