This year, seven of the Mira Costa staff are retiring. The teachers are retiring for a variety of reasons, including the opportunity to spend more time with family, to travel, and pursuing other personal hobbies. Some of the retirees are receiving benefits from the district. Although these benefits vary by person, MBUSD is offering them to those who have worked in the district for at least ten years.
