With summer just around the corner, people from all over the world will be crowding the sunny beaches. However, those who don’t protect themselves could be susceptible to tans, sunburns, or even skin cancer. The most serious type of skin cancer is melanoma, which can appear as black, tan, brown, pink, or white spots on the skin. Skin cancer results in a change in your cell’s DNA and is caused by unprotected exposure to ultraviolet radiation. Hats, long sleeves, and sunscreen are all things that people can use to protect themselves from UV rays.
