Hillary Clinton is planning to implement a college plan where families with an income of lower than $125,00o will receive free tuition for public schools. We calculated the total cost of the plan would come around to $117.8 billion for in-state public colleges and $355.5 billion for out-of-state public colleges. By getting the 83% of people who could potentially receive this money, we multiplied that by the 15 million current high school students. Then, we multiplied the 12 million high school students that would be eligible for this program and multiplied it by the average cost of in-state public college tuition and out-of-state public college tuition.
After presenting these numbers, we found that many see this plan as too expensive while others find it worth it.
