Due to a nationwide lack of funding for schools, extracurriculars are receiving less and less money every year. The money that the district receives from the government can only pay for so much. This generally includes one coach per level (Varsity, JV, and Frosh) and anything related to health and safety. All of the rest has to be covered by MBX and the booster club for the corresponding activity. Lauren Ritter and Max Ackerman take a look into how this affects sports teams at Costa.
