Then, Head Coach of the Girls Cross Country team, Renee Williams-Smith, has paved the way for gender equality in sports at Mira Costa. As a member of the first girls soccer, cross country, and track teams, Williams-Smith shares her story and the strides for equality that she made in 1974.
