Fiona Dowdee is a sophomore at Mira Costa High School. She has painted for much of her life and enjoys painting with acrylics. Fiona displayed some of her artwork this fall in her art show, where she painted portraits inspired by her friends and concentrated a lot on water. Besides her artwork, Fiona is inspired by music and has written songs with her friends in the past. Her parents, who are also artists, inspire her to keep painting and expressing herself. In her show, Fiona experimented with hyperrealism, which is a style of art that resembles high-resolution photographs. By Oliver Cubillos.
