Common Core is a set of standards to equalize the understanding of material throughout the nation. Common core standards were adopted in 2010 by 42 states and other territories. This was implemented in order to standardize teachings, in the hope that students across the nation would graduate with the same understanding of the same material. Students and teacher at Mira Costa High School are learning to adapt to the new way of education.
