There are many misperceptions regarding the LGBTQ community. School is stressful enough, but if your not straight, it can become a difficult place to be. In this story we hear the perspectives of two LGBTQ students, and a Counselor for the LGBTQ community, specializing in drug and alcohol abuse, and depression. It has been reported that 6% of heterosexual teens commit suicide each year, and 25% of the LQBTQ youths commit every year. Students who are still having challenges can find support from counselors or clubs like the gay straight alliance club.
