Some programs may introduce students to basic robotics skills early in life however high school is where extracurricular robotics has really flourished. Our local robotics team known as Beach Cities Robotics (BCR) is composed of students from both Redondo and Mira Costa High School. The team dates all the way back to 1996 and they have been working together and competing in competitions ever since. You can watch the team compete in their matches online. The Team recently competed in the first LA Regional Competition. They finished 2nd overall in a competition with 66 other teams competing. The team’s 2nd place ranking enabled them to advance to compete in the first Championship in St. Louis, MO at the end of April.
