In all sports, the ultimate goal is to win, but for every win there is a loss. Nobody wants to be a loser but half of all athletes are. In a culture that’s all about winning, it’s often hard to cope. Losing might not be as bad as it is made out to be. Losing helps develop character and a better appreciation for winning. Not everybody can be a winner and it is overall a good lesson to be learned. But, some players can’t handle the loss and it’s effects, which leads to 70% of athletes quitting their sport by the age of 13.
