Whether its producing our live bi-weekly newscast, using social media to tell stories, or participating in our International Documentary Trip, this class is for you.

HOW TO APPLY

No experience is necessary, and students who will be FRESHMEN, SOPHOMORES or JUNIORS next year are eligible to apply.  Students who wish to enroll must complete an application process that includes an online application and one teacher recommendation.

Incoming freshmen must have a minimum of an B in English. Please include an official transcript to verify.

WHY TAKE THIS CLASS?

When you become a part of the nationally award-winning The Mustang Morning News, you can expect to:

• learn all aspects of digital media production from social media reporting, news writing, videography, editing and graphic design
• travel to national conventions in cities like Washington D.C., Boston, Philadelphia and more
• participate in our International Documentary trips
• use cutting edge equipment in the 2600 square ft Media Arts Lab

All classes satisfy the Visual Art requirement for UC/CSU college applications.

When you fill out your registration form, sign up for “Broadcast Journalism 1”

If you’ve already signed up for classes with your counselor, there’s still time to join our staff. Just complete the application and Mr. Hernandez will notify your counselor to make the changes.
