In the wake of the LA fires over 120 displaced students have transferred to Mira Costa, but one of the biggest changes has been in the school’s athletic programs. Of the 120 plus students, 40-50 have joined Mira Costa’s sports due to a no-tryout policy. Ana Clara Soares and Brynn Barry investigate how this has impacted athletes and team strategies.
