With the new school year starting and the dreamy summer slowly fading away into fall, some of us may be pretty upset that we need to wait another year for summer vacation. But while we wait, we can make most of the upcoming seasons, particularly the one that approaching us very soon; Autumn.
Here, I have made a list of several things you can look forward to and try out in the remainder of this year.
1. Fall Holidays
From Halloween in October to Thanksgiving in November, there are some major holidays that are coming up. To celebrate these holidays, you can make plans for parties, dinners, or any festivities that will make the most out of the once-a-year events. You can also decide to decorate your home with handmade things to match the occasions. (And remember that Christmas will be on its way too.)
2. Fall Fashion
The transition from summer to autumn is the perfect opportunity to bring new fashion trends into your wardrobe. Current trends for the fall time are things like beanies, riding boots, flannels, comfy sweaters, and neutral colors. You can get out of your comfort zone and try out some new clothing!
3. Fall Foods and Drinks
Several cafes and stores sell many products that are only guaranteed for the fall, so don’t miss your chance on tasting them! For example, Starbucks is known in the fall for its Pumpkin Spice Latte (hot or cold) and its pumpkin themed cookies. Also, some fruits like persimmons only grow in the cooler season. For those of you who have never even heard of the word persimmon, it is an orange fruit that resembles a tomato, but has a sweet taste and crunchy texture, almost like an apple. Take advantage of this season’s limited foods to get over your summertime sadness.
4. Extra Hour
With the time change in the U.S., you can get excited for an extra hour of sleep in the morning (which is a plus for everybody) or use that extra hour for doing something you enjoy. And since it’ll get darker earlier, it will you more time for sitting by the fireplace while drinking hot cocoa.
I hope this list will be helpful for those of you who are dreading the new season.
