Finals are very stressful things for high school students, and sometimes it’s hard to stay concentrated or motivated. There are days when you feel like giving up or just breaking down because you’re so stressed. Everyone understands, it’s okay. Fortunately, there are some methods to get through the madness we all call finals week. Music is one of the perfect remedies to lift your spirits up and either get you motivated to study, or calm you down from studying too much.
The first playlist is what I call the “Finals Chill Pills.” This playlist consists of 20 tracks that should help you settle down, relax, and breathe in the midst of the overbearing stress levels. The playlist has songs from artists such as the Arctic Monkeys, Young the Giant, Daughter, Sublime, The 1975 and many more. These are all songs that should be able to distract you for a few minutes or even help get those brain juices flowing in the right direction.
The second playlist is the ultimate motivational playlist. This playlist should pump you up and help get you determined to study hard and try your best on those exams. Everyone has a different style for pump up music so I tried to feature a variety of styles. There is alternative pump up from Two Door Cinema Club, Twenty One Pilots, American Authors and more, then some alternative punk rock from Fall Out Boy and Panic! At the Disco, and then some classic rap pump up songs from T.I, Kanye West, Fort Minor and Eminem, and lastly the techno/EDM/dubstep type pump up from Disclosure, DJ Snake, Zedd and Skrillex.
