Every year thousands of people around the country make their number one News Years Resolution “to get in shape” by eating healthy and exercising. Eating healthy can be broken so easily because it takes effort to be healthy, unlike spending $3 for a quick meal at McDonalds. An easy, cheap, and delicious snack to keep you from your junk food craves is the acaí bowl. Made famous by the local “Paradise Bowls,” acaí bowls are nutritious fruit bowls made from all organic ingredients. Acaí is a newly popular fruit that is said to be a “superfood” due to its high concentration in antioxidants and ability to boost weight loss.
To start this recipe here is a list of things you will need:
– Acaí Juice
-Bananas
-Frozen Berries (of choice)
-Granola
-Honey (optional)
First add in one banana, 1 cup of mixed frozen berries of your choice, and 1/2 cup of acaí juice into your blender and mix. If the consistency is too thin for your liking then consider freezing your banana’s beforehand for next time. Once the mixture is done, pour into a bowl and add on toppings. Granola, honey and cocount shavings are popular toppings for the bowls, but you can add whatever you like depending on your preference. Once the topping are on you’re ready to eat up and enjoy!
