Over the years Manhattan Beach has unfortunately been recognized as a party city, but not for adults. The amount of kids who take part in underage drinking exceeds the national average by 14%. In order to combat this issue, the Manhattan Beach police department and city officials passed the Social Host Liability, a law that aims to reduce the amount of underage drinking that goes on the community.
