The custodians at Mira Costa High are under appreciated. Most of the time we don’t even notice they are there. The Maintenance and Operation workers spend their work day, picking up trash and cleaning the bathrooms, and pools. There are five custodians who work during the school day. Starting from 3:30 in the afternoon, 10 different custodians arrive, and their job consists of vacuuming and cleaning the interior of classrooms, and taking out the trash. Their shift ends at 11:30 pm.
