Throughout all of the places at Mira Costa, you are bound to use a gross and packed bathroom, but there is one place on campus where you can go without a hassle.
The average amount a person goes to the bathroom is 6-7 times a day. Students and staff spend about 8 hours on campus which is 1/3 of the day. This could mean 2 or 3 trips to a school bathroom. So why not go to a good one?
The bathroom in the basement of the Math and Science building, is one that isn’t frequently passed by students on campus. There are 9 classrooms on the basement floor which means the traffic flow is lighter than the one off of the east locker hall which is about in the middle of the campus.
There are about 2,500 students that go to Mira Costa. If all 9 classrooms are filled with an average of 30 students the most students there will be in the basement at a time is 270. While hallways 40-60 and 101-108 all use the East Locker Hall bathroom. That is 42 classrooms with an average of 30 students per class. That is 1,260 students using one bathroom during a class period.
This location is ideal for other reasons such as endless paper towels and stalls that have not been vandalized on yet. Also the Math and Science Building is a new addition to the Costa campus, which means the stalls are clean and can properly shut.
The bottom of the Math and Science building is the perfect location to enjoy the go in a quiet, clean place.
