The recent college admission scandals surrounding privileged families bribing their children’s way into college has been brought to light, and this controversy has affected students across the world. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, 65.9% of students who graduated high school in the United States in 2013 enrolled in college, but schools like USC only have an enrollment rate of 13%. This may mean that families with a financial advantage would also have a leg up on the chance they have into getting into top schools compared to students without the financial advantage. Lily Eun and Maya Pow talk to other students on their opinion on the hugely impactful and unfair advantage students ould have against other students.
