The 2020 election saw Prop 25 make its way onto the California ballot. This Proposition, which would have upheld a law passed in 2018 eliminating the cash bail system in California, was flawed in a number of ways and consequently failed to pass. But that doesn’t mean that cash bail should be here to stay.
