1. The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf
Coffee Bean offers free wifi, great drinks and a homey sort of feel that attracts many Costa students who are looking to get a lot of work done.
2. Corner Bakery
This cozy restaurant offers food and drinks along with couches and tables to do work on. The closest locations to Mira Costa are in the Village mall and in Torrance.
3. Boba Loca
This coffee shop became especially popular in the last couple of years due to the growing boba trend. Its vibrant atmosphere furniture and friendly, efficient staff consistently provide a good experience for customers.
4. Metlox
The Metlox Center in downtown Manhattan Beach was recently remodeled, now including decorative seating and greenery in the center area. Sitting near the fountain and enjoying delicious food from one of the nearby restaurants is sure to help your study process.

This may come as a bit of a shock, but FedEx Office (formerly Kinko’s) is actually a great place to get work done. It’s not necessarily comfortable, but quick and easy printing access and available tools including laminators make the store a good place to perfect projects and other last minute assignments.
7. MCHS Library
Although many students tend to want to stay away from school when they aren’t required to be there, the library provides a comfortable and warm environment for them to study.
8. A Park
Observing nature can help your work ethic, and being in a quiet outside setting like a park can be very relaxing.
9. Starbucks Coffee
The Starbucks everyone knows has enthusiastic service and an ideal setup for camping out with your computer and books for a few hours.
10. Hermosa/Redondo Beach Public Library
Local public libraries offer not only a great study atmosphere, but also a variety of resources ranging from encyclopedias to DVDs.
