After 1 year of construction and 8 years in the making, Costa’s new West field will be completed on September 20th. The field is 145,000 square feet and designed for multiple sports to play on it.

The field was built in 2 stages and cost 5 million dollars. The first stage was funded by the Manhattan Beach Unified School District and the second was funded by MBX. MBUSD contributed $3 million and MBX contributed $2 million to the project.

With the new field nearly complete, Costa athletes will benefit from the state of the art field. Athletes will now have more room to practice and can finish their sport earlier in the day, giving them extra time to finish homework and catch up on sleep.
