Sports rivalries stir up a unique energy among both players and fans, and the Marymount versus Mira Costa CIF volleyball game did just that. On November 14, Mira Costa beat Marymount in 4 sets using their home court advantage to its fullest. The crowd was loud and engaged throughout, which left many unhappy. Mira Costa received an email the next day, which complained that the student section was bullying the Marymount players.
