One of the most popular New Year’s Resolutions is to lose weight, so teens have created a variety of dieting techniques to achieve this goal. One half of girls and a quarter of boys have tried dieting but most find it hard to control their eating, so they try a short and extreme diet, but then eat tons of food. In fact, 95% of people who try to lose weight, will regain that weight back within 5 years. People want to lose weight for several different reasons, such as peer pressure, confidence, and sports. If someone wants to lose weight, its best to eat fruits, vegetables, grains, proteins, and dairy products all in moderation.
