The recent success of movies like Love, Simon and Crazy Rich Asians has shown that showing diversity on screen can please audiences, but Hollywood still doesn’t come close in representing the diversity that is represented in the United States of America, and around the world. Having major characters in movies that are not straight and white allows everyone to be given an opportunity to see heroes that are just like them. A recent study shows that although some movies are including diverse characters, the people who make movies lack the same diversity as onscreen.
