There are many things that are commonly associated with Spring Break: beach, vacation, friends, fun, Easter… and Coachella. The price of the tickets, housing, and food for those three days can be overwhelming at best. For all of those lucky ones who get to witness a plethora of bands, my hat goes off to you. However, there are some people who don’t get to take that trip down to Palm Desert. Nevertheless, those people should be provided with music that will satisfy their spring break, with whatever they chose to do. Luckily, I have a playlist for both groups of people.
As the well known art and music festival is coming up, it is important to study up and be prepared. The lineup for Coachella is spectacular, stocked with well respected artists from many different genres. The amount of bands and acts playing Coachella can be exhausting to comprehend, but the key is to plan ahead. I would suggest looking at the lineup and listening to one or two songs of bands you think you would potentially like, and then select from there. Here is a playlist of 50 songs consisting of music by Haim, Skrillex, Grouplove, Kid Cudi, City and Colour, Basitlle and many more.
If you aren’t making an appearance at Coachella this year, it’s okay, there is plenty of good music out there to be heard from the comfort of your own house. Here is the ultimate 2014 Spring Break playlist stacked with feel good and chill music that can relieve your frustrated depravity of Coachella. Featuring under appreciated artists such as The Unlikely Candidates, Cherub and American Authors, this playlist will hopefully open your eyes to new bands.
