Since 1998, Tammie’s Corner House café has been a hidden treasure for all the locals in the South Bay. It is owned by local Tammie L who started the business herself and created all of the homemade items on the menu. Tammie’s is the perfect cozy corner spot to eat in with family and friends. Tammie’s famous muffin has been named “Best breakfast muffin” by easy reader and is widely known for its mouthwatering homemade muffins that are served to you straight from the oven. Tammie’s creates a comfortable, beach side atmosphere where you can enjoy yourself and feel almost as if you’re at your own home.
As you walk into the small house-like café, you are immediately greeted by friendly waiters and waitresses, who seat you right away. However, as the visit goes on, the business and chaos of the restaurant starts to show. The servers take a while to take your order and an ever longer time to check back on you, especially during rush hour which tends to be between 9am and 11am. Tammie’s is best known for its breakfast, but serves lunch and dinner as well. The menu varies widely, from huge French crepes to Mexican tacos to your everyday American hamburger. You can easily order a meal there, during breakfast, lunch, or dinner for under $15. The price range overall would probably be between $15-$25 depending on what you order and how much you order.
The crepes are a personal favorite because they have the perfect soft fluffy texture and the sweet, moist taste. You have the option to choose from nutella/chocolate, nutella/chocolate and banana, nutella/chocolate and strawberry, banana caramel, berry or lemon crepes. I also really enjoy the wide variety of coffee drinks that are offered there, with unique drinks such as Oreo mocha ice blend or white mocha over ice. Tammie’s has amazing sweet meals, but if you’re looking for something savory, the breakfast burritos are delicious as well. They have homemade potatoes, scrambled eggs, and bacon or sausage stuffed inside and they’re special enchilada sauce poured over top.
