Now, I know that Chick Fil-a and Pick up Stix might be a perfect meal for some, but, like me, many students are just bored with their everyday lunch routine at Costa. I mean, who wouldn’t be? Having a lack of variety is never fun, and eating unsatisfactory cafeteria food is no bueno either. I may not know you, but trust me, I can feel your pain.
Now, in a perfect world, we would all be able to bring our perfect lunches to school made by mommy with love, but, thats just not the case. We have to spend our time thinking about SAT’s, AP’s, and that little thing called college. Of course we can’t dwell on what to prepare for lunch the next day. So, with some consideration, I have a list of fun, tasty, fresh lunches that any high schooler can make for school the next morning:
1. Tuna McMuffin
If you happen to be a Tuna fan, this simple sandwich can satisfy any craving. All you need is a type of bread (bagels and mcmuffins can work), tuna, and any toppings you want. Some good pairings could be avocado, lettuce or sprouts, tomatoes, onion, and anything else you have in your fridge.
2. PB & H (Peanuts, Banana, and Honey)
This sandwich could not get any simpler. If your looking for an update to the every day PB&J, this is your kind of lunch. All you need is peanut butter, banana, honey, and bread. It can be made in under 5 minutes and is a sweet alternative to the generic PB&J.
3. Apple and Cheese Sandwich
If you don’t want to make an effort but still have a yummy lunch, this sandwich is for you. It’s filling and easy to make, only needing 3 ingredients. All you need to do it slice apples and a cheese of your choice, and you’ve made a tasty sandwich for lunch!
4. The Cop Out
Now, I know there are some days when you are running out of the house, so, to avoid not eating lunch, grab a few Trader Joe’s Salads. There great to stock up on every week, and you can get a fresh, portable lunch for about $4. There is an array of salads from super spinach to soba noodle to Chinese chicken.
If your bored with the everyday menu at school, taking about 5 minutes out of your day can really spice up your lunch experience!
